Snowman’s Run to Benefit Wounded Veterans is a 501C organization based on the movie Smokey and the Bandit and is managed by Tyler Hambrick and Ron Franks.
We are located in Newnan, Ga and travel all over the country doing car events (called Runs) to raise money for our veterans in honor of Jerry Reed. Jerry Reed, the Snowman, spent many years of his life raising money for Wounded Veterans. We own replicas of the semi-truck and trailer, Trans Ams, Sheriff Buford car and the Big Enos Cadillac. We also have the Bandit Bug, a 1970 VW Beetle. We are very blessed to have our vehicles and decided we should “give something back” by raising money for charity.
On our “runs” you can travel with truck, along with other fans of the movie. We are open to all vehicles and are family oriented. The agenda and hotels are posted and you are welcome to join us at any time. We honor our vets who volunteered their services to protect this great nation.
We are Christians who strongly believe in God and country. We believe in honoring God and those who served in uniform.
We are also interested in opening a Smokey and the Bandit Museum in Newnan, Ga. The museum would be the first one ever created and would create a huge tourist attraction. We have a large collection of movie memorabilia along with our vehicles. We are looking for a suitable building located for tourism and sponsors to support our Wounded Veteran cause.
We have given to several charities, DAV, Fisher House and local Veterans clubs. No one on our staff makes a profit or salary. The museum listed above will continue serving and giving back. We sell t-shirts and posters, etc. to generate operating funds. We have a donation jar which goes only to the veteran fund.
If you are interested in sharing an event with us, please send an email with dates, times, location and venue. If your event works logistically for us, we will contact you. Please understand we cannot honor all requests. Our operating costs are based on the above information.
Please join us and God bless America.
We are located on Facebook and Snowmansrun.com. Contact Tyler Hambrick at email@example.com. 770-301-0521 God Bless
